The 60-year-old broadcaster attended the launch of the Sylvanian Families Pony Stylish Hair Salon at the Linnaean Hotel in London on Sunday afternoon. She posed for pictures with her daughter Saskia and her new granddaughter Cecily Violet - but behind the scenes she has spent the week coming to terms with the loss of her fiancé Ben Ofoedu's brother Roy - as well as the joy of her fourth grandchild being born.

The TV personality admitted that her heart is "a bit battered and bruised" after learning that her partner of 15 years had been unfaithful. However, she reflected on how time can change things dramatically, writing in her column for the Express that in the last 12 months she’s "embarked on Instagram" and "become a grandma for the fourth time with Cecily Violet." Taking to the social media app, a smiley Vanessa shared how she spent the day with her 332,000 followers.
