Late Star Trek legend Nichelle Nichols will reach the final frontier. Ashes and DNA from the iconic actress - who passed away aged 89 of natural causes last month - will be flown into space in a special 'Enterprise mission' according to space and astronomy news site Universe Today on Thursday. Nichelle's - who played the trailblazing role of Lieutenant Uhura - 'symbolic samples' are scheduled to fly 'beyond the moon' as it will 'reach the final frontier as early as this year' according to the publication.
