Tragedy as soldier, 23, promised to call son just hours before taking her own life

She was a gunner in the 3rd Regiment Royal Horse Artillery, based in Albemarle Barracks, Northumberland.READ MORE: Model who bought boyfriend sex doll version of herself now fears he prefers itPolice officers responded to the incident at around 9.35am on Friday (June 10), accompanied by South East Coast Ambulance Service.Sophie, who was serving in the 3rd Regiment Royal Horse Artillery, was pronounced dead at the scene.Today (September 5) an inquest heard that the Sophie was "chatty" and "enjoying herself" on the night when she and pals visited three bars.She made her way back to camp between 12.10am and 12.30am and played pool with fellow soldiers before heading to her room, where she phoned her sister Chantelle Madden, who was minding Sophie's son.She wanted to speak to the youngster but Chantelle informed her that he was sleeping, so Sophie promised she'd call back in the morning.However, she was found dead at around 9.35am the next day.
