Manchester United fans no longer believe the club are missing Ander Herrera due to the emergence of Fred and Scott McTominay this season.
Herrera became an important player for United following his move from Athletic Bilbao in 2014. The Spaniard made 189 appearances in all competitions before choosing to leave the club on a free transfer last summer, joining Paris Saint-Germain.
MEN Sport understood agreed a deal with the French champions following a lack of clarity from United during their protracted contract negotiations.
Herrera was eventually offered improved terms but had already agreed a switch to PSG. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer called on McTominay and Andreas Pereira to fill the void left by the 30-year-old.
