Lidl security guard says shoplifter spat at and racially abused her as she stopped him fleeing
A security guard working at a supermarket in south Manchester claims she was racially assaulted as she tried to stop a man from stealing food.
Hannah Madden, 30, currently works as a sub-contracted security guard at the Lidl store on Timpson Road in Baguley, Wythenshawe.
She started working at the store last month after the venues she was previously working for had shut down due to lockdown measures.
On Sunday March 29, Hannah says she and the store manager witnessed a man attempting to shoplift.
“The manager informed me about him, and I was waiting for him at the door of the store,” Hannah tells the Manchester Evening News .
