The Queen held her first face-to-face audience with Prime Minister Boris Johnson at Buckingham Palace for the first time in 15 months on Wednesday 23 June.The 95 year old monarch and the politician greeted each other in the Queen’s Audience Room where Her Majesty described how it was “most extraordinary” that they had not met in-person since the the first lockdown was introduced in March 2020.
Audiences with the Queen are entirely private however the palace has released photos of their meeting which shows the room filled with family portraits including a unseen picture of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle along with Prince William and Kate Middleton.
