Gary Neville will be left regretting his confidence about Manchester United's chances of glory at the start of the season after he predicted they would win the league before bitter rivals Liverpool.
Chelsea's win over Manchester City on Thursday saw the Reds clinch their first top-flight title in 30 years, and prompted scenes of joyous celebrations in Liverpool.
It's fair to say Neville did not see it coming when he made his predictions for the season in August after he backed United to lift the trophy before Liverpool.
Speaking to Sky Sports, he said at the time: "What I’m saying is, Liverpool, City, Tottenham, all these clubs have had poor recruitment policies over the last 25 or 30 years at times.
