Eastenders' Mick Carter 'quits as Queen Vic landlord' as wife Linda battles booze

After seven years at the helm of one of soap's most famous pubs, Mick Carter will be stepping down as landlord of Eastender's iconic Queen Vic pub, it's claimed.

Mick, played by Danny Dyer, 42, takes the drastic step to move out of the pub and his beloved home to help wife Linda in her battle with alcoholism.

Linda (Kellie Bright), who is co-landlord of the pub, has been battling with her drink for the past 12 months, and viewers have seen this play out in harrowing story lines which have almost torn one of the Square's strongest couples apart.
