Disney has cancelled the red carpet for the European premiere of the live action version of Mulan “in an abundance of caution” over the outbreak of coronavirus.

The screening of the film will still go ahead as a “contained inside screening event”. Stars Liu Yifei, Yoson An and Donnie Yen and director Niki Caro were previously set to walk the red carpet in London's Leicester Square tonight.

The film, which is a live action remake of the 1998 animation, is set to be released in cinemas on March 27. Disney previously marked the release of the movie with a premiere at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles on Monday evening, attended by the cast and stars including Christina Aguilera, Jordin Sparks and Lana Condor.
