David Turnbull as the best young talent in the country – and Callum McGregor is convinced his club-mate can do a job for the country as well.
Turnbull was named PFA Scotland Player of the Year on Sunday to make it a hat-trick of awards along with the player and young player gongs he earned from the Hoops.
The 21-year-old midfielder has been a bright spot in a dark campaign at Parkhead, having rattled nine goals in 34 games and backed it up with seven assists.
Turnbull’s numbers make him one of the most productive players in the Premiership and he has been banging on Steve Clarke’s door for recognition at international level.
