Its analysts then broke the stats down into local authority areas and the variety of road users involved in smashes.And it was Clackmannanshire that topped the 10 safest council areas, with 61 casualties in five years, while East Dunbartonshire (79) came third and West Dunbartonshire (119) sixth.Thankfully, no Scottish local authorities featured in the 10 most dangerous regions overall or in any of the categories of road users.When it comes to driver safety, The Wee County, with 26 victims, was second to the City of London (12) and East Dunbartonshire was close behind on.
