As the Princess of Wales celebrates Prince George’s 10th birthday this weekend, royal experts tell OK! the "broody" mum is desperately keen to give him some undivided attention.
While he's used to being the centre of attention sitting in the Royal Box at Wimbledon and the likes, the youngster will get to enjoy some rare down-time with his siblings and devoted parents. The Prince and Princess of Wales, both 41, have reportedly cleared much of their normally-hectic official summer diary to spend quality time with George, Princess Charlotte, eight, and Prince Louis, five, particularly for this special birthday weekend. “Kate will want to give George a special treat on his birthday,” says royal correspondent Jennie Bond, “like any other parent would for their child.” While memorabilia from his favourite football team, Aston Villa, will likely be near the top of George’s wishlist, just having his parents’ undivided attention might be the icing on the cake. “Now that the busy royal workload is winding down for the summer, Kate and William will be able to devote the day to George,” says Jennie.
George's birthday on Saturday will no doubt bring back emotional memories for Kate, reminding her of the very special moment when she emerged from the exclusive Lindo Wing of London's St Mary's Hospital to introduce her baby son to the world for the first time.
Given her obvious adoration of not only her own three youngsters but the many she takes the time to meet on her official outings, it's not surprising that royal biographer Angela Levin makes the claim that “Kate is broody!” “It’s why she’s so enthusiastic about holding babies wherever she goes," she told OK!.
