Victoria Beckham was 'overruled' on having son Brooklyn and Nicola Peltz's wedding in UK
Victoria Beckham was overruled by her in-laws when it came to having eldest son Brooklyn Beckham's wedding in the UK.
The former Spice Girl reportedly wanted to hold a second wedding celebrating the union of her son and billionaire heiress Nicola Peltz in the Cotswolds. However, the budding chef, 23, and his actress wife, 27, opted for a lavish three-day event at the Peltz family estate in Miami instead of a second celebration in England.
After their £3million extravaganza in Florida, the fashion designer was pushing to have another celebratory bash in Brooklyn's home country before her relationship with Nicola turned sour. The Bates Motel star was allegedly becoming resentful at the Beckham family taking over the wedding arrangements, reports the Mirror.
Brooklyn and Nicola tied the knot in April this year but the son of Victoria and former England football captain, David Beckham, did not call into the family home when the couple toured around Europe on their honeymoon. MailOnline reported: “The Beckhams were interested in having weddings on both sides of the Atlantic, with a celebration at their house in the Cotswolds as they did for Brooklyn's 21st plus one in America.
"The Peltzes, as is traditional, wanted to have just one wedding at their immense house in Florida, complete with its own jetty and beach. Claudia Heffner Peltz, a titanium socialite and former top model, firmly took charge, and made a number of decisions, including that there would just be one wedding.”
Friends of the Beckhams have shared the concerns of David and Victoria that Brooklyn has become more distant from them, as the rumoured fallout with Nicola deepens.
"Vic says Nicola is not the charming girl she once knew," a source told HEAT Magazine.
