coronavirus has now reached 42,927. The figure is up by 171 deaths from the day before at 42,647, and includes a further 109 deaths that occurred in April, May, and June.
These extra deaths have been added to the total making an increase of 280, “due to improvements in how the Covid-19 death data is processed in England”.It follows yesterday's lowest daily reported rise since March 15 of 15 further deaths.
The government figures do not include all deaths involving Covid-19 across the UK, which are thought to have passed 54,000.The Department of Health said: "As of 9am 23 June, there have been 8,309,929 tests, with 237,142 tests on 22 June.
