The Enemy prepare for a reunion tour, frontman Tom Clarke has spoken to NME about the toll that success took on them in the ’00s and band’s decision to return “without the music industry” behind them.The ’00s Coventry indie veterans announced their return earlier this month with a September 2022 tour to coincide with the 15th anniversary of their acclaimed No.1 debut album ‘We’ll Live And Die In These Towns’.Before their split in 2016, the trio released four albums over 10 years, scored hits including ‘Away From Here,’ ‘Had Enough’ and ‘Saturday’ and supported the likes of Oasis, The Rolling Stones and The Sex Pistols.To find out how life has been since and what’s on the horizon, NME caught up with Clarke to discuss the stress and alcohol

The Enemy have announced a massive 2025 UK tour set to kick off later this autumn as a way to “experiment with some of the new tunes”.The indie giants are set to kick off their run of dates with a gig on October 10 at the O2 Academy in Oxford. From there, they will make their way across the UK with stops in Margate, Cardiff, London, Wolverhampton and more.They will wrap up with a show on November 14 at HMV Empire in Coventry.

The Enemy and The Subways have announced they’ll be releasing a cover of each other’s hits to raise money for mental health and homeless charities. Money will be raised for Shelter, a housing and homelessness charity and Mind, a mental health charity.The Subways will be taking on ‘We’ll Live And Die In These Towns’, while The Enemy have recorded their rendition of ‘Rock & Roll Queen’.Alongside the tracks, a limited run of scarves will also be for sale to raise money for the two charities.
