Eliud Kipchoge would out-run train from London to Manchester with new marathon record
Kipchoge did once complete a marathon in under two hours, but his incredible feat in Vienna is not recognised by World Athletic rules, due to the presence of pacers and other modifications that fall outside the governing body's remit. And in case you needed another perspective to appreciate how extraordinary his new world record is, Kipchoge would have ran the marathon before a London Euston train reaches Manchester Piccadilly, if they set off at the same time.
