Hospital's specialist unit receives accreditation for patient care
The Regional Eating Disorder Unit at St John’s Hospital has been accredited by the Royal College of Psychiatrists for high standards in patient care.The team met all 316 standards, set out by RCP, for the certificate which assures staff, service users and carers of the quality of service being provided by REDU.Tracey McKigen, services director for Royal Edinburgh and Associated services, said the accreditation was a testament to the enthusiasm and professionalism shown by the team.She added: “I would like to thank the staff for their dedication and hard work in ensuring high quality patient care and congratulate them on receiving this accreditation as an acknowledgment of that.”Established in 2012, REDU is a specialist inpatient unit for
