millions of views on TikTok in the process.Miles Laflin, 32, goes by the moniker of ‘The P00l Guy’ on the platform and since he started filming in 2020 has become one of the most beloved creators on the site. After initially being confused by the popularity of his videos, Mile’s profile has grown and grown and he now has a host of celebs including Tinie Tempah and Derek Chisora desperate to feature in his videos. For the last 13 years, Miles has been travelling across the UK cleaning pools and hot tubs as a swimming pool engineer. His short, stylised videos shed light on the intricacies of his process and are incredibly satisfying to watch.A typical clip will see Miles either hoovering algae from the depths of greenish hot-tubs or scattering chemicals that send great chlorinated clouds billowing across an empty pool.Speaking to the Daily Star, Miles admits he fell into his TikTok success. He said: “I’ve been doing pool cleaning for around 13 years, it’s been a while, I only started filming it in 2020. I had a personal TikTok account and then one day I just posted one while I was at work.
