Emmerdale star Rebecca Sarker has opened up about her on-screen sister Paige Shandu's exit from the ITV soap.The 47-year-old actress, who plays Manpreet Sharma, has grown extremely close to Meena Jutla star Paige since she joined the show back in 2020.Over the past two years, Paige and Rebecca have become like sisters off-screen as well as in front of the cameras.Paige's time as evil serial killer nurse Meena is coming to an end and Rebecca has opened up about Paige leaving the cast."It feels very surreal, it has been so intense," the soap star explained."We messaged each other the other day and we know it’s coming soon."It’s a bit strange, to say the least, to think that I’m not going to be with her."I can’t really imagine her not being part of Manpreet’s storyline and vice versa."Rebecca continued: "But you’ve got to be sensible about it, there was life before Meena and there will be life afterwards, I think."That's the life of an actor, people come and people go."Meena is continuing to enjoy having leverage over the villagers from behind bars, toying with them as she continues to play games over her upcoming plea hearing.Next week, Manpreet puts on a brave face as she nervously awaits Meena’s plea hearing but she’s apprehensive to know that Liam Cavanager (Jonny McPherson) and Charles Anderson (Kevin Mathurin) cannot discuss Meena’s confession on the stand.Anticipation builds for the plea hearing as the villagers prepare to face Meena in court.Manpreet suffers a panic attack as she becomes utterly overwhelmed by the pressure of testifying.Rebecca explained:: "Manpreet feels Meena is controlling her life, even from behind bars."Deep down she has very little faith that her sister will do the right thing.“She’s witnessed
