Jay Blades hopped onto his official Twitter account on Friday to thank his fans for their support behind his BBC documentary, Jay Blades Learning to Read at 51.The episode aired on Wednesday and received many positive reactions from viewers as The Repair Shop presenter challenged himself to improve his literacy skills.It comes after Jay was diagnosed with dyslexia as a child.He left school with no qualifications other than having built up a reputation for being a great fighter, in his own words.The show tackled a range of topics, further diving into the research findings which suggest that over a quarter of all children in England leave primary school unable to read at the expected level.The BBC documentary pointed out that more than eight million adults in the UK struggle with illiteracy, with half of all prisoners unable to read.Dyslexia is a common learning difficulty prone to cause problems with spelling, writing and reading.Taking to Twitter to thank his fans for their support in watching and leaving positive comments about the show on social media, Jay expressed his gratitude in a video."Thank you from the bottom of my heart," he said."All of the comments that I've received with regards to the documentary has been unbelievable."I'll tell you what, I'm a little overwhelmed."You guys have been so kind."He continued: "I know the documentary has potentially touched 80 million people in this country who are affected by dyslexia or unable to read that well."The Londoner went on to shed light on his upcoming projects.Towards the end of the clip, Jay briefly explained how he hoped to find ways in which viewers can reach out and get the help they need.He didn't elaborate too much on the subject before stressing his
