WWE Elimination Chamber verdict: Is Roman Reigns the most dominant ever champion?
WWE ’s most unstoppable star ever with another big win at Elimination Chamber. The Tribal Chief has been WWE Universal Champion for well over 500 days and is already in the midst of one of the strongly booked title runs the company has ever seen. That continued in Saudi Arabia following Reigns’ decisive victory over the legend Goldberg. Many had questioned going into the show as to whether the WCW icon would be suitable opposition for Reigns at this stage.Even at this point in what must be the twilight of the veteran’s career, however, the emphatic nature of the win for the champ – via a Guillotine choke that left Goldberg out cold – was sobering.Once again Reigns stood dominant in the ring as he now heads to WrestleMania to face Brock Lesnar in what will now be a title vs title match following The Beast’s capturing of the WWE title in Elimination Chamber match.Quite why Lesnar needed to win January’s Royal Rumble to punch his ticket to WrestleMania when a clash with Reigns was in the making seems a little odd and perhaps wasteful, especially after this result. You can't help but wonder if there's an alternate WWE title plan with two other stars involved - who will now miss out on a marquee match - that's now in tatters. There’s no denying it’ll be a titanic clash.
