But with the country now in the throes of social upheaval, on a scale perhaps not seen since the 1960s, the film has taken on even greater relevance.“It’s extremely timely to be talking about Woodstock right now, because I think you’d have to go back to that event to see as inspiring an example of generational unity, generational passion,” notes Woodstock director Barak Goodman.
