Brendan slows down and does a U-turn,” the 36-year-old explained in the caption, setting the scene for fans.She asked her husband, 28, why he was turning around, to which he told his wife he saw a kitten in the road and knew she would “kill” him if he didn’t go to the animal’s rescue.“Well I guess the rescue ways are rubbing off on him,” the Kerosene singer continued, adding they stopped by her parent’s house on the way back to their own home in Nashville.“Dad has a new bestie,” she gushed, adding the kitten did the nine-hour drive home with them and their three dogs and was “such a champ” during the journey.
