ok.co.ukLove Island fans were left confused during Thursday's 2021 National Television Awards after the show picked a past clip of Jake Cornish and Liberty Poole loved-up despite since splitting.
Taking to Twitter, viewers joked that producers were "so wrong' for picking the moment when Jake, 24, returned from Casa Amor and recoupled with Liberty, 22, over the summer.
Fans will recall that Liberty ended her romance with Jake just days before the show's final, saying: "I just don't feel like you love me for me and I want someone who loves me for me." Love Island was nominated for the Challenge Show award, which was won by The Great British Bake Off, and it used the couple's Casa Amor recoupling speech to promote it.
