Ex-Glee star Matthew Morrison sacked after texts left show contestant 'uncomfortable'

Glee star, 43, left the show a little over a week after the dance competition had started, with him revealing his departure was because he had failed to follow "competition production protocols."A source has attempted to give insight into his statement as they claimed he was sacked due to inappropriate texts.

The insider told PEOPLE that: "[Michael] had an inappropriate relationship with a female contestant."They said: "They didn't have sex, but he reached out to her through flirty direct messages on social media."She felt uncomfortable with his line of comments and went to producers, who then got Fox involved.

He was fired after they did their own investigation."In a statement released by the star when the news of his departure first broke, Matthew said: "Having the opportunity to be a judge on So You Think You Can Dance was an incredible honour for me."Therefore, it is my deepest regret to inform you that I will be leaving the show.
