Arteta has a tendency to make bold selection decisions as well as a capability to operate against some of the best managers in world football from a tactical perspective.
However, it spoke volumes of the task still ahead that he quickly pointed out the need for further reinforcements in the next transfer window immediately after the win over City.
Recruiting on a tight budget may be a difficult task in the coming weeks but it is one that Arteta appears to be well aware of.
