Join thousands of others who have signed up for the Daily Record newsletter.Disgusted neighbours in a Paisley street are scared to let their children play in their gardens as they are overrun with disease-ridden rats.Residents in Lochfield Drive have been forced to lay their own traps in a desperate bid to catch the vermin.Video footage shows numerous rats scurrying about the gardens, and those trying to remove them claim using poison and traps has not deterred them.They are now pleading with Renfrewshire Council to step in and remove the rats, which fed-up residents believe are coming from the nearby building site of the new Lochfield Nursery.Ross Gilmour, who has lived in the street for two years with his partner and two children, said:
