Hero dog wearing life jacket saves boy who was ‘seconds from drowning’ in river
dog has saved a young child’s life who was “just seconds” away from drowning after getting into difficulties in the deepest part of a river.Staffy cross Max swam out after the the distressed child started having difficulties in the river mouth of Port Noarlung, South Australia.Wearing his life jacket – complete with a handle the boy could cling onto – the pooch managed to drag the youngster back to the safety of dry land. His owner Rob Osborn was the first to spot the boy in distress from the sand of the river bank but before he could launch his rescue attempt, Max had already set off.Rob told the child to call Max’s name so it swam to him then to grab the handle on the life jacket and swim back to shore.Adorable footage shared by 7 News
