Charity night hopes to raise awareness of rare genetic condition after Ayrshire baby born with defect spends months in hospital
Ayrshire baby born with a rare genetic condition has inspired a charity night which hopes to raise funds and awareness of the defect. Little Micah McEwan was born on July 5 with Congenital Diaphragmatic Hernia (CDH) – which causes a hole in the baby’s diaphragm resulting in abdominal organs entering the chest cavity preventing lung growth – and has already undergone five operations within the first eight weeks of his life.
