LA Rams won't be haunted by Super Bowl 53 but Sean McVay must get it right this time
Super Bowl defeat to the New England Patriots three years ago, but head coach Sean McVay must get it right against the Cincinnati Bengals on Sunday. That's the view of NFL expert Mike Carlson as the Rams look to win the Super Bowl for the second time, having lost on three of their four appearances on the biggest stage of all.The most recent came against the Patriots, when the Rams were held to just three points in a 13-3 defeat in Tom Brady's final Super Bowl for New England. It's a different challenge this time around for McVay as he takes on a Bengals team with a frightening wide receiving corps, but a weaker O-line.And Carlson, speaking for Betfair at Passyunk Avenue in London, believes McVay will have learned from the struggle in Atlanta three years ago."This is a different team," Carlson told Daily Star Sport. "Maybe McVay has it in the back of his mind, but I don't think so."The organic flow of this game is going to be different to that one.
