Get the stories that matter to you sent straight to your inbox with our daily newsletter.A security guard from Wishaw has lost his job of 13 years after jumping a traffic light and pranging into another motor while over the drink drive limit.John Clifford, 43, smashed his white Peugeot Partner diesel van into a car in Paisley’s Bridge Street on October 22.Paisley Sheriff Court heard Clifford had been waiting at the traffic lights and ploughed into another motorist, despite not having right of way.When cops attended the smash they discovered Clifford, who worked for Orbis Security, was over the legal limit and gave him a roadside breath test, which he failed.
