FRAMED for a robbery she didn't commit, Bernie Winter bumped into a brand new character last night. Actor Gordon Peaston made his Coronation Street debut as Howard and viewers may have recognised him from a rival soap. Bernie (played by Jane Hazlegrove) was horrified to find out her once trusted doppelganger Fern (Gabrielle Glaister) impersonated her to rob a jewellery shop.
