Jerry O’Connell on Thursday told Wil Wheaton he was sorry for not recognizing Wheaton's pain from child abuse, when the two filmed the 1986 movie Stand by Me.The New York City native, 48, who played Vern Tessio in the motion picture, welcomed his co-star Wheaton, 49, on The Talk on Thursday, where he made his apology.'I heard before you talk about some of the struggles you were going through during Stand by Me,' O’Connell said. 'And you know, while I was 11 at the time, that’s an excuse, I do want to apologize for not being there more for you when you were younger.
