Tributes paid to superfit Scots RAF corporal who died suddenly aged 34
Jon Ward, 34, passed away on Wednesday prompting an outpouring of grief from shocked pals.They told how the RAF corporal, based in a Glasgow recruitment office, was out on a run in Lossiemouth the day before he died and planned a 100-mile fundraiser.Moray Road Runners chairman Gareth Jenkins, 50, said: “He enjoyed the run - they were having a laugh because they were two RAF personnel and a policeman and they got lost in the woods.“There was nothing to suggest the news that was to come."It’s just surreal and we feel numb.“He was well-known and popular - our thoughts go out to Jon’s family and loved ones.”Kind-hearted Jon completed 100 marathons in 2018 to mark the RAF’s centenary and raise much-needed money for veterans - wearing out seven
