Horse named 'Mrs Milner' set to race at Cheltenham after Liverpool star's wife joke
Liverpool midfielder James Milner will be hoping his surname can do him a favour once again at the Cheltenham Festival on Tuesday. The versatile 36-year-old revealed that he had backed 12/1 shot Mrs Milner in the Pertemps Network Final Handicap last year, who cruised to victory with Bryan Cooper onboard to land a great prize pot for connections.Although Milner has no true association with the mare, despite some thinking he may be an owner, one would assume that the former England international will be having a few quid on her in hope that she is just as successful in the Close Brothers Mares’ Hurdle.Tweeting after Mrs Milner’s victory last year, the former Leeds star wrote: “To save me replying to everyone who’s WhatsApp’d me… Yes – I backed it.
