David Walliams has explained why he uses a different chair to his co-judges on Britain’s Got Talent.The 2022 live semi-finals kicked off on Monday 30 May and eagle-eyed viewers were quick to notice that David, 50, had a different chair to his co-judges Simon Cowell, Alesha Dixon and Amanda Holden.Taking to Twitter, one person said: "#bgt has anyone else noticed that David is sitting in a different chair to the rest of the judges? Why is that." While a different account added: "I noticed that too! I'm not sure why he's sitting in a different chair, but I'm curious to find out!" However, David has explained the reason why he has a different chair to his co-judges, revealing that it is to do with a past back operation.Tweeting back in 2018, the star wrote: "For those of you who want to know why I have different chair to the other judges on @BGT it is because I had a back operation to remove a disc after my Thames swim for @sportrelief and so need to sit on chairs that are specially designed for people with back problems." David took part in Sport Relief in 2011, where he swam the length of the River Thames, which is around 140 miles.
