Star Trek and Girls! Girls! Girls! Actress Laurel Goodwin has died aged 79. Maureen Scott, Laurel’s sister, confirmed that she passed away on 25 February in Cathedral City, California.The cause of death has not been revealed.

Laurel shot onto the acting scene aged 19 after signing a contract with Paramount Pictures. Her first film was Girls! Girls!

Girls!, which she starred in alongside music legend Elvis Presley.This film was followed by Papa’s Delicate Condition, which was released in 1963.

Glynis Johns and Jackie Gleason played the lead roles of a railroad inspector and his wife, while Laurel played their eldest daughter.
