ZZ Top's bassist Dusty Hill has passed away aged 72 in his home of Houston, Texas.The American musician's bandmates Billy Gibbons and Frank Beard confirmed the news on Wednesday 28 evening as they shared a joint statement explaining that he died in his sleep.
Dusty's cause of death is yet to be revealed. "We are saddened by the news today that our Compadre, Dusty Hill, has passed away in his sleep at home in Houston, TX," they wrote.The pair continued: "We, along with legions of ZZ Top fans around the world, will miss your steadfast presence, your good nature and enduring commitment to providing that monumental bottom to the 'Top'.
