Zlatan Ibrahimovic will play for Swedish side Hammarby in a televised friendly on Friday in a bid to keep up his match fitness while the Serie A season is suspended indefinitely due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.
The 38-year-old has been training with Hammarby after he returned to Sweden when the campaign was temporarily called to a halt last month.
Ibrahimovic rejoined A.C. Milan on a six-month deal back in December and is not expected to return to the San Siro until the authorities have set a date for the resumption of football.
In Europe, Italy has been the country worst affected by COVID-19, with more than 25,000 deaths from the virus, and the nation is currently in lockdown.
