Zlatan Ibrahimovic insists he wants to play football “for as long as possible” after scoring in a friendly for Swedish side Hammarby on Friday.

The AC Milan veteran, who is isolating back home in Sweden amid the coronavirus pandemic, has been training with Hammarby in a bid to maintain fitness while the Serie A season is on hold.

He became a part-owner of the club last year, sparking a furious reaction from supporters of bitter rivals Malmo - with whom he kickstarted his professional career back in 1999.

The Malmo faithful have been in the headlines of late for vandalising a statue erected outside their stadium in Ibrahimovic’s honour, sawing off the sculpture’s nose and feet before tearing it down completely.
