Zack Steffen vowed to keep pushing Ederson after signing a new Manchester City contract. The US goalkeeper, signed two years ago from MLS side Columbus Crew, has committed to the club until 2025 after establishing himself as a reliable No.2 and developing under the eyes of goalkeeping coaches Xabi Mancisidor and Richard Wright.
Pep Guardiola has had no hesitation in calling on Steffen to deputise in domestic cup competitions or when No.1 Ederson has been absent.
