Peter Sutcliffe’s habit is said to have annoyed other patients at Broadmoor Hospital so much that one of them tried to stab him in the eye.Reformed criminal Ben Hatchett saw his behaviour when he served alongside him at the high-security psychiatric hospital in Berkshire.He told the Daily Star Sunday: “I worked in the cafe at Broadmoor.
Every Thursday the Ripper would be one of the ones who would come in for lunch. I had to make his food.“And he would use the toilet and wouldn’t wash his hands.
He would do it when he was in the communal area.“He just wouldn’t wash his hands. People didn’t like it. He would come out of the toilet and smirk.“He did it to wind people up.” Sutcliffe’s habit upset people so much he was attacked over it.
