Picture bundles of dahlias and gladioli in deep berry shades and burnt orange snapdragons surrounded by foliage in warm golden hues. “September is my favourite month, it has a rich tapestry of plant interest,” the award-winning designer Sandra Eberle told the RHS. “September light is also very special, and I think it will make the gardens memorable.” In fashion, as in horticulture, flowers are not just for summer.
