Ruth Langsford (born 17 March 1960 in Singapore) is an English television presenter of shows such as This Morning, Gift Wrapped and How the Other Half Lives. Langsford is an anchor on ITV's lunchtime chat show Loose Women and presents Ruth Langsford's Fashion Edit on QVC. She took part in the fifteenth series of Strictly Come Dancing, where she came ninth. She is currently the longest serving female presenter of This Morning. Ruth currently is more frequently known for her exclusive fashion collection, for British fashion label QVC. After being approached to curate a collection, Langsford signed a multi million pound endorsement deal that spawned 19 sellout collections; 18 of which debuted at London Fashion Week Women’s Collection.

X Factor's Sam Bailey's son off school for a year in pyjamas due to 'broken system'

X Factor legend Sam Bailey has revealed that her son Tommy has not attended school in a year as she discussed the "broken" education system in England.The songstress who won the ITV talent show in 2013 explained that her youngster who has autism has been at home for a year, wearing his pyjamas and receiving "hardly any education".During an appearance on Loose Women, the singer and actress opened up about her year-long battle to get Tommy in school.READ MORE: X Factor icon Cher Lloyd now - pop career flop, hunky husband and bitter Cheryl feudThe youngster was diagnosed with autism and dyspraxia back in 2020 after Sam and her husband Craig Pearson sought help and Tommy had an assessment.Sam, 45, claims she and her husband had noticed that Tommy was "different" to other children.Speaking to Loose Women stars Ruth Langsford, Brenda Edwards, Jane Moore and Gloria Hunniford the Take It Out on the Dance Floor hitmaker said: "He's been off school since July last year, so no school."He's been living at home in his pyjamas for a year with hardly any education."The year that I've had, the system is so broke."Mum-of-three Sam went on to say that Tommy couldn't remain in mainstream education as he needed to be in a specialist school which was more suited for his needs."Because he's autistic he can't go to a mainstream school because they can't meet his needs," she told the panel.However, due to a lack of funding, Tommy was unable to attend a school which would be able to cater to his individual needs.She went on to say: "I was stuck with him at home because they wouldn't give me the funding for him to go to a special school."Despite currently appearing as Mrs Potts in the West End version of Beauty and the Beast, Sam is still.
