Wrexham co-owner Rob McElhenney has donated a small fortune to the cause of four-year-old Aria Hodgkiss who was diagnosed with an aggressive brain tumour in May of 2021.The Hollywood actor and director, who became co-owner of Wrexham AFC alongside fellow superstar Ryan Reynolds back in 2020, has donated £10,000 to the £60,000 target.Aria's Wrexham supporting family have now received 1400 donations and reached over £52,000 towards their goal in a bid to buy a new cancer drug called ONC201 that has been used in clinical trial.READ MORE: Why did Ryan Reynolds buy Wrexham FC?

"Mr McElhenney, you are simply a marvellous human being."DIPG, or diffuse intrinsic pontine glioma, is a form of brain tumour that is found in the brainstem, which is treated by radiation therapy and experimental chemotherapy.In the latest update to Aria's page earlier this week, it was explained that she has finished her radiotherapy but is sadly unable to use the left side of her body.It reads: "It's been about 6 weeks since Aria finished her radiotherapy.
