Woody Harrelson claims he acted in self defense on Wednesday when he was approached by a man who wouldn't stop taking pictures of him.

An incident report obtained by Fox News shows that Metropolitan Police Department officers responded to the Watergate Hotel in Washington D.C.

on Wednesday night for an alleged simple assault incident involving Harrelson, 60. According to the report, Harrelson informed police he got into a verbal dispute with a man who "lunged towards" him in an attempt to "grab his neck." Harrelson then claimed to police that he punched the alleged aggressor in his neck "in defense of himself." The identity of the alleged aggressor has not been identified by police.
