When Pamela Macaskill found out she had scooped £193,055 on the People's Postcode Lottery she was absolutely thrilled. The 43-year-old was one of 101 winners who shared a £3million prize who live on a remote island in the Outer Hebrides, off the west coast of Scotland.
The winners from North Uist and Berneray hit the jackpot as their postcode sector is HS6 5. The local village hall was bursting at the seams to cope with winners collecting money - and Pam couldn't wait to ring her builder husband Angus to tell him the good news.
But when she got through to him on the phone, he wasn't having any of it. Pamela recalled: "Angus didn’t believe me! He wasn’t taking anything in!" She eventually managed to convince him she had indeed won the bumper
