Police received a report of concern for the welfare and wellbeing of a woman in Berwick-upon-Tweed on July 25. Officers attended the scene of the incident and found that the woman had died.
Formal identification of the body is still to take place, reports Chronicle Live.Police have confirmed that they are not treating the death as suspicious and there is not believed to have been any third-party involvement.A Northumbria Police spokesperson said: “Shortly after 9.45am Sunday we received a report of concern for the welfare of a woman on the beach front at Berwick-upon-Tweed.“Officers attended and found a woman who was sadly deceased.
