Fife. The collision happened near Kirkcaldy on the eastbound section of the road, close to the Redhouse roundabout, shortly before 2.30pm on Friday.
Police confirmed one woman was taken to hospital by ambulance before the vehicles were recovered and the road reopened around 4.45pm.
A fire service spokesperson said three appliances were called to the scene and cutting gear was used to free the woman from the wreckage.Motorists caught up in the traffic delays reported seeing several cars turning round and driving back along the dual carriageway, with pictures being shared in the Fife Jammer Locations Facebook group.It is understood police on scene were directing cars to turn around in a bid to ease the traffic build up.One person, Fiona Ford,.
