Woman killed driving Uber Eats car may have 'solved her own murder' with final photo

US woman who was shot dead while working as an Uber Eats delivery driver may have helped police catch her killer.Arizona grandmother Pamela Rae Martinez snapped a photo shortly after she had completed her last food delivery for the night.

The photo shows a man that is now the prime suspect in the inquiry into her death.Pamela, 60, was found “in distress and non-responsive” in her car, which had rolled at low speed off West Bell Road, Glendale, Arizona.Officers attempted first aid but she was later pronounced dead at the scene.Glendale Police Sergeant Randy Stewart said that investigators had established that she had been shot through her vehicle’s open window.According to a witness, the victim’s car had been parked by the side of the road with a van parked alongside her.The witness saw a man briefly standing next to Pamela’s car, before getting back into his van and driving away.Police discovered that, in the moments before her death, Pamela had “for some reason” had taken a photograph of a man sitting in his van next to her car.The person in the photo has since been identified as local man Rusty French.French, 62, is now facing charges of second-degree murder in Martinez’s death.Under questioning by police, French conceded that he was the man in the photo, but could not explain why it might have been taken, claiming he “must have blacked out” about what happened between himself and the victim.Police obtained a search warrant for French’s home, where they found a number handguns, one of which was a ballistics match for the gun used in the shooting.“It is believed that the two were unknown to each other,” Sgt.
